Privacy Notice

Effective: September 2026

This notice explains, at a high level, how Manager.io Customer Alerts processes information needed to connect a Manager.io business and deliver customer notifications.

Information processed

Depending on the features used, the service may process business account information, Manager.io connection information, customer names, customer Email addresses, customer mobile numbers, customer notification preferences, transaction identifiers and references, transaction amounts/balances required for message content, subscription/trial information, delivery records and provider responses.

Why information is processed

  • To connect and identify the correct Manager.io business.
  • To determine whether a customer is eligible for an enabled notification.
  • To prepare and send transactional Email/SMS messages.
  • To track delivery status, usage allowances, trials, subscriptions and purchased credits.
  • To support troubleshooting, security and service administration.

Third-party service providers

The service relies on external infrastructure and communication providers to host the application and deliver Email/SMS messages. Information necessary to perform a delivery may be transmitted to the relevant provider.

Manager.io credentials

Manager API access credentials are sensitive. Users are responsible for keeping their access credentials confidential and for revoking or rotating credentials if compromise is suspected.

Customer choices

Notification preferences are controlled through the relevant business and customer settings. Disabling a customer's Email Alerts or SMS Alerts setting prevents new eligible notifications on that channel after the updated customer settings have been synchronized/processed by the service.

Data accuracy and retention

Businesses are responsible for keeping customer contact information and transaction data accurate in Manager.io. Operational records may be retained as necessary for delivery history, quota accounting, subscription management, troubleshooting and audit purposes.

Security

Reasonable technical and administrative safeguards are used to protect the service. No internet-connected service can guarantee absolute security, so users should follow credential-management and access-control best practices.
